Mindfulness

Most of us live in a busy world. You go to work, prepare dinner, fold the laundry, exercise, all while keeping one eye on your loved ones and another on taking care of yourself. You plan your day while listening to the latest pod cast and then plan your weekend. In the rush to accomplish our daily tasks, it's easy to find ourselves losing connection with the present moment—missing out on what we're doing and how we're feeling. Running more than one business, I can relate to getting caught up in the shuffle of the to-do list.

For me, more deadlines means more purposeful time each day to just be. Even if only for a few minutes, it's a daily practice that I've come to cherish.  

Taking a breath and quietly observing the most ordinary experiences that life has to offer is all it takes. Finding creative ways to weave preoccupations towards gratitude of the moment can deliver a larger perspective on life. Being mindful is a gift of nourishment to the mind, body, and spirit. It is has also been found to be a key element in happiness. Being present and accepting without judgement is a work in progress, but the more it is practiced, the more it becomes a part of your daily being
